Mark Wahlberg Workout for The Fighter

The Mark Wahlberg workout emphasizes solid fitness principles that can be used by anyone. His workout routine and diet has served him well in his life and career. Wahlberg has successfully reinvented himself and created a top-notch physique to accompany his rising stardom as a writer and producer. The movie, “The Fighter,” accents his both his skills and muscular build.

Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch was a fad I’m glad I missed, but I sure am hopping on the much more distinguished Mark Wahlberg bandwagon. In Mark Wahlberg interviews I’ve read and watched, he strikes me as a guy-next-door type, whose authenticity shines through.

Reading through an article about the Mark Wahlberg workout in Men’s Health, I learned that it took him two freakin’ years to prepare for “The Fighter.” Two years! So, keep that in mind next time you read an add that says “Get Ripped in 48 hours!”

Mark Wahlberg Workout

He performs his Mark Wahlberg workout in a huge warehouse complete with power plates, weight lifting equipment, punching bags, and a boxing ring. He also has a basketball court, cardio machines, and a permanent massage table. God, do I want to go there!

The Mark Wahlberg workout incorporates a lot of boxing to prepare for “The Fighter,” and the boxing also helps him stay fit and relieve frustrations. He also likes to jump rope and exercise on the Power Plate, a cool vibrating platform that may improve your workouts and help build more lean muscle mass.

Mark Wahlberg Workout Boxing Routine

In the Mark Wahlberg workout, he boxes for approximately 45 minutes, mixing up the following exercises:

  • speed bag work
  • double-end bag work
  • heavy bag work
  • mitt work
  • punching combos
  • sparring

Whew!

Mark Wahlberg Superset Workouts

He supersets everything, and saves time in the gym to accommodate his busy lifestyle. It takes him just over half an hour to workout. The Mark Wahlberg workout features a three day split routine. He then takes a couple of days off and repeats. His split workout routine consists of the following:

  • Day One: back, legs, biceps
  • Day Two: chest, tris, shoulders
  • Day Three: legs and biceps

He really emphasizes functional strength, too. I mean, the guy wears a 35 lb. weighted vest as he works out. Good stuff.  I highly recommend commiting to your own fitness program to increase your overall fitness level, lose weight, gain muscle, and feel great about yourself.  Look at how Mark Wahlberg changed his life and his physique with hard work and dedication!
